Digital Instruments was established during the year 1976 by a group of engineers. The employees gained expertise in the field by getting trained at Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigargh, under the guidance of expert Scientists and Engineers.

The company was a pioneer in this industry to introduce "DIGITAL pH Meters" in Western India. During that period, Digital read out was a new concept to the Indian Industry.
