INORA is a pioneer institute active in Research , Development and Promotion of Organic Farm Management and Manufacturing of Permitted Organic Farming Inputs ,Organic Farming Certification Systems, Earthworm Vermitech for Biological Solid and Liquid Waste Composting, Treatment and Recycling. Anaerobic composting and bio gas technologies are also employed for waste recovery for methane and liquid manure production. 

 INORA was established in 1992 by Late Prof. M.R.Bhiday ,an eminent Physicist along with Economist Padmashri Dr R T Doshi.

 Inora is a division of KNOW-HOW FOUNDATION registered as a Trust under The Bombay Public Trust Act 1950: Registration No. : F/20501 (Pune) ,May1972.

 Organic agriculture though a very ancient technology for countries like India, needs to be revived as an agro biotechnology. Today's modern agriculture entirely depends upon pollutants and toxicants like inorganic fertilizer, chemical pesticides, herbicides etc. All these inputs consume a very great amount of fossil fuel energy. In addition, these inputs cause pollution ,food contamination and in due course of time leads to the degradation of soil health .As against chemical farming, organic farming systems consider soil as a living entity. Agriculture sustainability is aimed at regular additions of organic matter in form of Biomass,Compost, Vermicompost, Bio fertilizers, Soil biological fertility etc. maintains soil tilt and productivity.

 Present economic situation and global trends has enforced strict norms about food, soil and water quality. Agricultural produce for export market must be devoid of any pesticides and chemical residues and this is possible only if Agri-biotechnology and Organic Farming Systems are adapted.
