International Copper Promotion Council (India) International Copper Promotion Council India (ICPCI), is the Indian centre of the International Copper Association, Limited, (ICA) the leading organisation for the promotion of copper worldwide. ICA operates in 24 countries through 31 centres. ICPCI actively promotes Copper through seminars, workshops and training programmes all over India, in collaboration with other organizations, institutions and trade bodies. ICPCI publishes technical handbooks and training manuals and produce information booklets and brochures aimed at spreading general awareness of the benefits of Copper. ICPCI has both international and Indian copper producers as members. ICPCI's projects and activities receive full support from the major Indian copper producers, fabricators, cable manufacturers and EE motor manufacturers.
ICA started its operation in India in 1998, by setting up a liaison office in Mumbai. On 19th April, 2001, International Copper Promotion Council (India) was formed to be actively associated with the growing number of copper users in India. ICPCI's principal objective is "to promote the beneficial usage of copper for safety, health, environment and energy savings."
