Kalpakrit is a green architecture + sustainable design firm that offers building energy efficiency analysis and design assistance. It is a start-up kicked off by a wife-husband team -- Alpana Jain and Neeraj Kapoor. Both are trained architects, building science and LEED accredited professionals. They come together to form Kalpakrit with diverse experiences in energy conscious and climatically sensitive building design. Projects in the past have ranged from a few undertaking whole building energy analysis to others that compared various HVAC systems, to yet another that focused on moisture movement through building envelope.

The work is independent, comprehensive and research driven. With an eye for detail, most of the projects go through an unyielding process of quality checks before delivery. The work environment is collaborative in nature following an integrative design approach with the client, the project architect(s), and engineer(s), and if possible the users too.

The aim is to reduce energy and resource consumption, beginning from construction processes through a building's lifecycle, in the process trying to stoke living, vibrant, and sustaining environments. Kalpakrit embarks with a spirit of creating regenerative architecture that tries to restore true environmental and ecological value in the business of place-making with appropriate use of technology and economy of means. Kalpakrit's vision is to achieve efficient, low-impact, productive spaces that add to our client's competitive advantage and encourage them and the users of the space to be excellent stewards of the planet’s resources
