AIM: Suraj Solar is formed with the aim of making innovative solar products which will break the myth both in price and duration. We would like to deliver a quality products at a low price and low daily running cost affordable by the poor people around the globe who, we believe, actually needs the products for their daily use.

LOCATION: Suraj Solarr is a partnership firm having their manufacturing facility and sales point at Baruipur, Kolkata-700145, W.Bengal, India. The product will be sold through a network of business partners (agents & dealers). We are also interested to work as OEM with a mutually agreed terms and conditions.

PEOPLE: Suraj Solarr is a partnership company formed by the two Technocrats Tanmoy Mitra and Amit Chowdhury. Both the partners having immense experience in their respective electrical/ electronics/ magnetic engineering field of work for an average of more than 15 years. Both the partners have worked in the field as support engineer for electro mechanical system of international companies and have experience of developing indigenous technologies to provide cost effective solution to customer problem keeping  international standards intact. The added advantage of working for big corporate house and handling high tech products of multinationals have influenced them for developing business with quality products for the segment of interest. While thinking the products for solar energy the main objective was to use different source of light with a different technique of lighting the same so that the total energy consumption is reduced considerably.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: The primary objective of Suraj Solarr is to develop a product using non traditional technology. Survey was done about the products with available technologies and the reason for dissatisfaction with the available technologies. In order to eliminate the problem with available technologies the cost of the products need to be increased considerably which is already in the higher side with available technology and products.

Keeping above idea in mind Suraj Solarr started the development of the solar products with LED light. One of the primary reason is that the problem of the conventional system can be easily sorted out if LED light can be made successful. Lot of research and development was done to finally come to a solution using LED as light source. Getting a good quality LED and keeping the total cost of the unit within a reasonable value is a real tough job. Each and every details was checked while developing the products and no compromise is allowed to be done on the quality. Each product is pre tested before final approval of the same and necessary modifications are done with the feedback from the people. We have decided to give the product at an affordable price with almost zero maintenance and hence kept our profit as low as possible. Our product is really a good quality products at very low price.
