Separation - Ballistic Separators

The basic principle of the Ballistic Separator, is based upon 6 rotating paddles arranged parallel to each other, with duoble transmission.

Each set of paddles is constructed with the possibility of angle adjustments. Depending on the case of application the paddle surfaces are designed with given perforations and structure of carriers, or closed. The length of paddles varies from max. 4-6m per level.

Due to the angle adjustment ( angle of inclination and structure of carriers ) the separator is adaptable to the input material.

Flexibility:

The application possibilities of the separator for heavy materials are very versatile and the quick integration into different huge and small plant configurations is a further very important advantage of this machine.

Due to the varying and simple adjustment possibilities by idraqulic system the machine is adaptable to the fed in material,. One can produce several different material streams over up to three levels depending on the throughput capacity, assembly situation and material requirements.

Application:

  • Sorting of light packaging material and classification  of polymer fractions.
  • Screening and separation of problematic materials in processing plants for combustibles.
  • Material stream classification as a first step of separation within the mechanical biological treatment of residual waste.
  • Post classification of the biological treated fraction before dump garbage.

Machine description:

The ballistic separator is an aggregate for the classification of one input material stream into two or more fractions. In comparison with competitive aggregates specialized on the separation of materials, the ballistic separator manages to combine classification in size and form. The single-stage core machine is separating one material stream into two main fractions, as there are:

“rolling heavy fraction” (wood, tins, selected steel, massive plastic parts etc.) and “flat light fraction” (foils, textile. Paper, cardboard).
