In X-ray grading sorting system, the debilitation absorbance of the X-rays through two measurement channels in different wave ranges is affiliated measured. Through mathematical composition of the measurement values, the material thickness can be calculated eliminated. Thus, as a grading criterion, an average atomic density is available, independent of the particle size, particle shape, unit weight, colour of the surface or impurities.
