China Light & Power injects 99 MW to India’s wind pipeline

China Light & Power India reinforced its position as the largest foreign investor in India’s wind sector by adding 99 megawatts of wind generating capacity to its wind power portfolio. Located near Theni town in Tamil Nadu, the 99-MW wind farm will bring C.L.P.

India’s total installed wind capacity to 446 MW. The wind farm will also help the company reach its target of sourcing 20 percent of its generating capacity from clean energy sources across the Asia-Pacific region by 2020.
