NERA and Crowdcast SBI Launch Clean Energy Exchange

Looking for reliable predictions about the future of clean energy? Good luck! Depending on where you look, you'll learn that by 2050 we'll be depending on solar, wind, osmotic, tidal, and/or algal power... in some combination. Economic consulting firm NERA decided to take on the confusing situation, and created an online community intended to help create a clearer, more reliable picture of the future of clear energy.

NERA has partnered with Crowdcast SBI to launch the Clean Energy Exchange, where clean energy experts will pool their knowledge. NERA says that working together, business leaders, investors, technologists and academics will be able to make "more useful forecasts" regarding the future of clean energy.

How does it work? "Participants will use Crowdcast SBI to bet virtual money on outcomes of key industry events. Bets are then aggregated into crowd forecasts, which are timely, unbiased, and shown to be more reliable than forecasts from traditional methods." Sounds like fun!
