If you are planning a boisterous New Year celebration in hotels and resorts bordering the famous Jim Corbett Park, watch out.

The Uttarakhand Government has set up a committee to keep a check on the level of noise pollution in these hotels and resorts during the celebrations to usher in 2011 to ensure that the high decibel sounds do not disturb the wildlife in the park, especially at night. The government has for the first time installed equipment around the park to measure the level of noise pollution.
