The World's Water has been authored by Peter H Gleick, President of the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment, and Security, Oakland, California, and recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship for his work on water issues. The book chronologically lists international disputes over water, assesses water conferences, including the 4th World Water Forum, evaluates the concerns over the use of bottled water, and also discusses the possibility of water on Mars.
