Polltech Instruments was incorporated in the year 1990. It was the culmination of coming together of two highly motivated and enterprising individuals each of whom had made his mark in the field of science and technology.

Dr. P.K.Arora, one of the founders, embarked on his scientific pursuits in 1965 at BARC, Trombay. His pioneering research work in air (ozone) monitoring earned him the Ph.D degree in Physics. After 20 meritorious years of dedicated research work, Dr. Arora set out to enlarge his sphere of activities to enable him to plough back his knowledge and experience for the benefit of Indian industry at large. He joined a reputed organization where as Director R&D, where he designed and developed a number of products with innovative designs and novel features.

His considerable expertise and in-depth understanding of the need and requirements of air pollution monitoring instrumentation and allied products and services enabled Dr. Arora to set out as an entrepreneur in his own right. 

Co-founder partner Sharad Belekar holds a degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Pune University. Like his other co-founder Director, Sharad Belekar worked in reputed organizations in various capacities in R&D. He rose to become R&D Manager in a reputed pollution instrumentation corporate where he specialized in the design and manufacture of Gas Chromatography systems.
