URJA means energy. We all know how important it is to conserve energy. Since we deal with fabrics that help in conserving energy - the name Urja Products was given to our firm which was established in the year 1989.

Unnati means progress. We all know how important it is to progress in life. Since we deal with progressive fabrics (second, third, fourth generation fabrics)- the name Unnati Industries was given to our firm which was established in the year 1969.

The founder wanted to weave some thing that would not be worn by people. He already had enough experience of a composite mill having 653 looms and 40000 odd spindles. So was born UNNATI in the year 1969. Two looms, a large stationary oven and a 2-metre tower. The name UNNATI has became synonymous with Fibre Glass Fabrics over the next 30 years.

URJA PRODUCTS, a private limited company, was formed in the year 1989 with a view to manufacture even more sophisticated products of FIBRE GLASS and from FIBRE GLASS. Today UNNATI has merged into URJA PRODUCTS thus widening the scope and rangeof products. URJA is now located at two sites - about one kilometer apart - and what you will be reading through the following pages will give you sufficient confidence to confidently put your confidence in our products and in our capability to take new challenges to develop fabrics for your specific needs.

The company is now spread over 3500 sq.metres of land on two different locations. The employee strength exceeds 125. Our consumption of power is in excess of 500 kw. We have our own Branch office in Mumbai and our agents in 22 major cities of India are constantly striving to promote our products to existing as well as potential customers.

Urja products is on the Committees of several Indian specifications governing industrial textiles and related products.

Specification for Mercerized Cotton fabrics for covering Aircrafts and Gliders, IS:514

Specification for Finished Woven Glass Fibre fabrics for Plastic Laminates for Aerospace purpose, IS:5746 to name a few.
